Did you get your new tank yesterday?

I would avoid the bottled stuff and go for a fishless cycle.

As Graeme said the bottled stuff really doesnt do much to help cycle the tank, a better idea would be to put the new filter into your existing tank for a few weeks or swap over a third of the media from your tank filter to the new tank filter.

Try B&Q, Homebase or boots for it, I got mine from homebase, make sure it is unscented.

Ty Graeme amazon is much easier 4 me but now I am lost as to which one. ..is any of the household ammonia ok ? Or could u recommend one ? Also how much do u think I will need to complete a full cycle on a 180L tank ? I really want to do the fish less cycle but want to make sure I do it right and have the correct amount of ammonia to complete the job....many thanks and I hope u r well xx

Any 500ml bottle will be plenty. Make sure it is just basic ammonia without any fancy cleaning product additives. It will be about 10% to 30% pure.

In a 180lt tank you will need to put in 5ml to raise the level to about 3ppm with a 10% household ammonia. I used a pipette from a test kit.

Be careful with it, it's very nasty stuff!
