Live Plant Problems....

Postby JoJo080690 » Mon Jan 13, 2014 10:45 pm

Hi :)

I'm new to this, so will probably be visiting this forum a lot!

I've had the aquarium set up for about 3 months now, and the live plants on bogwood went it about 2 weeks after it was first set up.
Since then, they have very slowly began to get brown marking on their leaves (they were beautiful and faultlessly green when I bought them). I assume they are still healthy(ish) as they are growing, one is about to flower too.
Does anyone know why it's happening and how I can stop it?
I feed them with a gel fertiliser every water change.
I would attach a photo but I don't know how :(

if its live plants attached to bogwood I will assume it is java fern or anubias.
How long do you keep your lights on for? Try cutting the lights back to a maximum of 8 hours a day.
