Baby Biorb Alternative

Postby Pippy1901 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:30 pm

I went to our local petstore today and purchased a baby biorb (15l) and was told that it could take 5-6 guppies. Having done some belated research i believe this was a bad purchase. I chose this tank for its small size as we have very limited space so not sure what alternatives are available. This is a present for my 3 year old so would only be housing 2 fish at the most and we do like the look of guppies. Any suggestions please? We dont want/need a huge tank and if the biorb can work for 2 guppies we'll hapily keep it.

The orb has been returned. I'll try a different shop for advice.

hi Pippy the bio orb would have been ok for 2 guppies the problem is unless your going for 2 males they will breed like rabbits. I wouldnt have added the 5-6 the store said though its way to small for that.
