Fish bowl discussion

Postby henryderrick » Tue Sep 04, 2012 10:05 am

I keep my two goldfish in what I regard as reasonably sized fish bowl but does this stop my fish from leading an activity lifestyle because of the shape and size of fish bowls, should I really be thinking of investing in a fish tank?

Yes, without doubt, they do not produce a 'fish bowl' anywhere near big enough to accommodate a goldfish.

Welcome to the forum :bye:
I agree with the above post. You will see a huge difference in your goldfishes behaviour and well being if you can get them a bigger tank, with a filter.
While several years ago a 'bowl' was the way to go and quite readily accepted. The hobby has moved on equipment wise, along with fish knowledge.
To enjoy your fish at their best, provide them with the best environment you can.

Common Goldfish belong in ponds and not tanks/bowls.
